
Students are selected to participate in the Title I Program using various criteria:

* Classroom reading/language arts achievement
* Performance on student assessments
* Work and study habits
* Teacher recommendation

Classroom teachers and Title I Specialists follow a careful referral process in identifying and selecting students to participate in the Title I Program. Referrals are reviewed by the principal and Title I Coordinator before students are selected. Parents then receive a notification letter which explains the program.
