Matt Golliday Wins Bridgebuilder Scholarship Matt Golliday was presented the $5,000 scholarship for 2010 at a school assembly on January 12th by Dr. Keith Rowland, Superintendent of Shenandoah County Public Schools. Matt plans to attend Kettering University in Flint Michigan, or James Madison University. ____ |
School Supplies for Afghan Children

The Pen and Print Club collected school supplies for the children of Afghanistan before Christmas. Major Bates of the Kentucky National Guard Agribusiness Development Team accepted the supplies while visiting his parent in the area. Major Bates will return in March to speak to Stonewall's government classes, and hopes to set up a webcam for the students after he deploys in May. The supplies will be collected throughout his year deployment |
