VDOE Specialist to Speak at Free Community Events

"Teachers/ parents/ community members are invited to attend one or both of the following sessions being held next Tuesday, November 7.  Tracy Lee, Virginia Department of Education Engagement Specialist, will present a 2 p.m. session on Communication and Collaboration with Families and an evening session starting at 6:00 p.m. on Encouraging Positive Behaviors in the Home.  Both events are free and open to the public."

Section 504
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act is a civil rights law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of a disability. Local Education Agencies (LEA), like Shenandoah County Public Schools (SCPS), as recipients of federal assistance, are prohibited from excluding students solely on the basis of a disability.
